Growing up, first in a houseboat in Sausalito, then overlooking the Giacomini Dairy in Inverness Park, Sam has always had a strong connection with the natural world. Raised without a television in the house, Sam and his 2 siblings quickly became happy playing outside. Sam was a fearless tree climber, voracious reader, and lover of stories.

As a filmmaker, storytelling, and answering the question, Why? are central to all of his work. Sam’s thoughtful, caring, and investigative approach to interviewing leaves clients and interviewees feeling uplifted, heard, and like a true partner in the process.

With over ten years as a union camera assistant under his belt, Sam has worked on many, many projects ranging from small documentaries, to television shows, to Marvel movies. Be careful asking him about cheese or oysters though, once he gets started on West Marin food, it’s tough to get him back to work.
